About the CSFFA

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I would like to welcome ALL FIREFIGHTERS in the State of Colorado to the Colorado State Fire Fighter’s Association (CSFFA), Colorado’s oldest and longest standing Firefighter organization, founded in 1916!  
As President I would like to thank all the individual members and department members, without you we would not have this great organization.  
Looking into the next year, the Executive Board and I are excited to focus on you once again, the firefighter.  It does not matter whether you are Volunteer or Career, we want to help provide to you and your family valuable training to ensure your safe return after your shift or after each call. 
The Executive Board and I vow to build relationships once again with other organizations in the state of Colorado that are vested in the fire service.  We will also continue to have a presence at the national level at the NVFC, with a sole mission to bring back information that will benefit the firefighters and our firefighter community in Colorado. 
I am excited to announce that next year’s Fire College has been set.  We will meet in beautiful Black Forrest, Colorado (suburb of Colorado Springs) June 19-22.  Heading up training this year will be none other than Black Forrest Fire Department’s training Chief and CSFFA Executive Board member, Mike Torres.  Chief Torres brings with him a vast background in training in the fire service over the last 20 years.  Stay tuned as we announce the various trainings that will be offered not only at Fire College but also throughout the year at a training ground near you! 
I am excited to be back in the saddle as the President of this great organization, after two years off from the board.  The Executive Board and I look forward to seeing and hearing from you soon!
